Some cell types have the ability to quickly change the consistency of their cytosol, generating internal flows that allow the cell to change shape and move. This type of cell movement, present in many protozoa and some cell types of multicellular animals, is called amoeboid movement.

What are organoids like?

Some of the organoids (also called organelles or organelles) of the cytoplasm are membranous, that is, they are coated with a plasma membrane-like lipoprotein membrane. We are referring to endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, golgi system (or golgi complex), lysosomes, peroxisomes, glyoxysomes, chloroplasts and vacuoles.
